Chipotle hot sauce
- This hot sauce is version of a very old Mexican recipe. One Friday night, at a university party, Carlos Carvajal decided to travel to Mexico by car with his friends. From the central Californian coast, it took us 8 hours to reach Baja California. After sleeping for a few hours on the beach, they went to eat in a restaurant there, and tried what for him was the best hot sauce he had ever tried in his life until then.
- Carlos left the restaurant with the recipe for Salsa Chipotle and here it is!
- With lots of chipotle chilli (obtained from smoked ripe jalapeño peppers), garlic, onion, coriander, cumin, oregano, black pepper, apple cider vinegar and organic salt, this sauce is the tastiest we've made so far. It is an explosion of flavour, with a moderate touch of spice.
- A couple of drops with mayonnaise or cream cheese is incredible - you have to try this hot sauce!
- Carlos Carvajal’s original recipe becomes a hot sauce with an inimitable quality and flavour. Made with smoked Chipotle chili. With a heat range of 6,000-6,100 SHU on the Scoville scale.
- A mild special hot sauce and one of the best you can buy through our online shop.

The origin of our products is the Sierra Nevada. Here at Doctor Salsas we have over 12 years’ experience of KM 0, fair trade production and we're committed to our chili pepper growers in Granada (Andalusia).
We are Growers
From planting and collecting to preparing the hot sauce. We use natural processes at all times and we add no preservatives or colourings.
We harvest our chili peppers by hand in our greenhouses and transfer them directly to our kitchen where we prepare our delicious hot sauce using natural ingredients.
At the same time, we respect and support our growers under the fair trade business practices. Our chili peppers are grown in the Sierra Nevada, Granada, until they reach maturity and that eye-catching colour and texture that means they're ready to be harvested by hand.
